We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent access or we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Data Retention
Internal backups of customer data related to subscription services occur every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. These backups are performed once a night and stored securely onsite with a retention period of 7 days. External
backups (offsite) of customer data related to subscription services occur every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. These backups are performed once a day and stored
securely offsite at 2 separate locations with a retention period of 30 days. In the (unlikely) event of damage or outage at Back Paddock Data centre, Back Paddock will restore Customer’s data from the most recent backup. This will
be treated as a Priority Alert – 1.
At the Customer’s request, a backup or a part of a backup can be restored within 48 hours for a fee negotiated in the Agreement or charged on a time and material basis.
Data Deletion
Purpose
This section outlines Back Paddock Company’s policy for handling requests for data erasure. It explains the data subject’s rights regarding data deletion and Back Paddock Company’s legal obligations in Australia when fulfilling such
a request.
Individual Rights
A customer has the right to ask for personal data to be destroyed or de-identified when there is no compelling reason to keep using it.
When can a customer request their data to be deleted?
A customer may request their data to be deleted:
- Where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was originally collected/processed.
- When the individual withdraws consent.
- When the individual objects to the processing and there is no other legal ground for the relevant processing activity.
- Where the personal data must be erased to comply with a legal obligation.
What information does Back Paddock Company retain?
Back Paddock Company online systems including any “Opterra” branded products and associated mobile applications store data digitally. Data is stored and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found at:
https://www.backpaddock.com.au. Personal data (including the above, plus address, telephone number and notes) are stored in our CRM system for the purposes of product licencing, contacting you in relation to product subscriptions, customer
support and sales inquiries.
How can data be deleted?
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that data is not held longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is intended.
If you have purchased a product subscription, paid for a training course or expressed interest in Back Paddock Company’s products and services we would have collected personal data. In this case, we will delete upon request via email to support@backpaddock.com.au, upon closure of your account, or after three years. This data is deleted from the system immediately and cannot be recovered by any users or Back Paddock employees after this point.
Data that has been deleted or otherwise destroyed cannot be recovered at any time. Data may still remain in the system’s back-up files, which will be deleted periodically.
We undertake to perform the deletion within one month (30 calendar days) and will send you a confirmation once the information has been deleted.
